“Omo Oba Nla, Oba Gbadebo” – Abeokuta South Chairmanship Aspirant, BOA, Eulogises Alake Of Egbaland At 81

As the revered monarch of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, celebrates his birthday, Balogun Olaniyi Afeez, a chairmanship aspirant for Abeokuta South Local Government, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Paramount Ruler.

In his statement personally signed by Balogun, he commended the Alake’s reign, describing it as a period of wisdom, leadership, and unmatched dedication to the progress of Egbaland. He lauded Oba Gbadebo’s efforts in fostering peace, prosperity, and development in the land, noting that the king’s legendary status is well-earned in Nigerian history.

“We reverence your throne, which stands as an impeccable symbol of tradition, culture, and unity. Your leadership has brought peace, prosperity, and development to Egbaland, and for that, we are forever grateful,” the statement read.

Balogun also prayed for the Alake’s continued good health, long life, and prosperity, wishing that Egbaland continues to thrive under his guidance. He praised the traditional ruler’s leadership, noting that his reign would forever be remembered as a golden era in the history of the kingdom.

The message was also filled with the Egba traditional praises, celebrating Oba Gbadebo’s noble heritage and lineage:

O to Oba meji,
O je kan soso,
Omo o bo sokoto,
Ki Eni mefa jiyan l’Ake.

“Ara Ake majo,
Majo meji,
Omo Ajogberu, majo gbeko,
Eru ni sinni,
Eko kii siniyan,
Omo lekeleke ile iya re,
A se bi iya nd’oko,
Afinrin agbere lese,
Iya o doko ri,
Ise re ni,
Omo roore,
Omo motayo,
Omo arilu jo,
Kerewu jigi,
Alabaja segi,
Abaja nidubu,
Omo okukenu,
Ajanaku s’enu madu madu,
Erin a yo, bi eni a nnu,
Omo Lika itoku,
Oloja Obinrin,
A f’eru wewe r’emo,
Lika o bimo pupo,
O bi Ogojo,
Eru kari Omo re likookan,

“Omo won nigbedu ora,
Ore ara itoku,
O fi oruko y’oni tesi lenu,
Omo at’eni wijo,
Kii yoyo ma gbon sile,
Omo nka s’eni, eniyan nyo,
Eniyan ma yo mo,
Ohun to n’seni, ko le pani.”

The chairmanship aspirant concluded his message with prayers for the Alake, stating, “Kabiyesi, may you continue to reign supreme, and may your wisdom and leadership inspire generations to come.”
