The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, on Monday received the Bashorun Akarigbo Offin of Sagamu, Bashorun Adebayo Awosanya, at the Radisson Blu, where the Sagamu chieftain presented an additional vehicle and other items in support of ongoing mobilisation efforts.

Awosanya, who had earlier donated five vehicles to support the APC mobilisation structure in Sagamu Local Government, arrived with another vehicle, a 2012 Toyota Sienna, alongside campaign materials and other goods which he valued at about N5 million.

The presentation was followed by a private meeting involving Governor Abiodun’s aide, Bashorun Awosanya, Yayi and the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Awosanya said the invitation followed Yayi’s appreciation of his earlier contribution of five vehicles to the mobilisation efforts in Sagamu.

Awosanya explained that he decided to use the occasion to present another vehicle as part of his continued support for the mobilisation efforts.

According to him, the meeting lasted about one hour and thirty minutes and focused on political mobilisation and other matters relating to Sagamu.

At the end of the meeting, Awosanya said Yayi granted the requests he had presented and formally admitted him into his political structure.

He disclosed that Yayi also presented him with the Yayi Caucus crest, which he said would serve as his identification within the political structure.

The Sagamu traditional title holder further disclosed that he had been confirmed as a member of the Sagamu Local Government Elders and Leaders Forum, the state caucus and Yayi’s political team.

The meeting, according to the Governor Abiodun’s aide. Bashorun Awosanya, further strengthened his alignment with Yayi and his commitment to supporting mobilisation efforts in Sagamu ahead of the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.
