Sagamu LG Commissions Chairman’s Office, Secretariat Facelift, Pledges More Development Projects

The Chairman of Sagamu Local Government has commissioned a newly constructed Executive Chairman’s Office and the renovated Local Government Secretariat, describing the project as a testament to prudent management of public resources and his administration’s commitment to efficient service delivery.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony attended by traditional rulers, political leaders, government officials, community leaders, youth and women groups, and party faithful, the chairman said the project was designed to provide a conducive working environment for council workers and improve public service.

“This project is a demonstration of our commitment to building a functional, efficient, and conducive working environment for public servants, thereby improving service delivery to our people,” he said.

The chairman noted that the project was funded entirely from the council’s internally generated revenue (IGR), stressing that the achievement reflects transparency and accountability in the management of public funds.

“This project was executed solely with the internally generated revenue of the Local Government, demonstrating that taxpayers’ money can be prudently and transparently utilised to deliver our commitment to the growth and sustainable development of Sagamu Local Government,” he stated.

According to him, the completion of the project has set a new benchmark for responsible governance in the council.

“Today, we have raised the bar, set a new standard for responsible governance, and reaffirmed our guiding principle,” he added.

The council boss expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State, , for his continued support and confidence in the administration’s vision.

He also thanked the , the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, other traditional rulers, party leaders, members of the Legislative Council, management and staff of the Local Government, and other stakeholders for their contributions to the successful completion of the project.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to grassroots development, the chairman assured residents that more impactful projects would be delivered across the local government.

“Our administration remains committed to delivering more people-oriented projects that will enhance development and improve the quality of life of our citizens,” he said.

The commissioning ceremony marked another milestone in the council’s infrastructure renewal efforts and drew a large turnout of dignitaries, government officials, community representatives, and residents from across Sagamu Local Government.
