Yuletide: Olasoju Puts Smiles On Faces Of Isolo Residents (PHOTOS)

It was an atmosphere of joy and celebration, filled with gratitude, as residents of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) took delivery of yuletide support distributed by the council chairman, Hon. Bayo Olasoju, as part of activities marking the Christmas and New Year season. The gesture covered party officials at ward and LGA levels, as well as senior citizens across the council area.

The distribution, aimed at easing the burden of the festive period, included bags of rice, chicken, turkey and cash support, which drew commendation from beneficiaries and political stakeholders within the council.

The initiative brought relief to many elderly residents, including Mrs. Mary Okegbenro, who expressed gratitude to the chairman. She noted that her earlier worries about how to celebrate Christmas had been resolved by the intervention and described the gesture as timely and compassionate.

Youth were also included in the outreach, as several young residents benefitted from the support. A youth leader from the community, who spoke on behalf of others, described the intervention as a morale booster for young people in Isolo, noting that the chairman’s inclusive approach has continued to inspire confidence and a sense of belonging among the younger generation.

Party leaders also commended the council boss for his consistent support. Mr. Saliu Animasaun, Vice Chairman of Ilasamaja Ward, acknowledged Olasoju’s support for party faithful ahead of the festive season and his continued outreach to the wider community. He also referenced ongoing road construction projects across the wards, describing the standard of work as commendable.

Responding to the commendations, Chairman Olasoju said he was fulfilled that the dividends of democracy were being felt by the people, stressing that governance must translate into tangible welfare and improved living conditions. He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive development, community support and sustained infrastructural growth across Isolo LCDA.
