WAEC Names Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut As Head Of Nigeria National Office
In a significant announcement, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has appointed Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut as the new Head of the Nigeria National Office. Dr. Dangut takes the reins from Patrick Areghan, whose tenure concludes this month.
According to a statement released by WAEC and made available to Readership NG on Monday, Dr. Dangut, formerly the Deputy Registrar in the HNO’s (Head of National Office) office, has been chosen to lead the organization.
Dr. Dangut’s journey within WAEC has been marked by a dedication to service and a steady rise through the ranks. He commenced his career at WAEC in 1998 as an Assistant Registrar II and steadily progressed in his responsibilities until achieving the position of Deputy Registrar in April 2018.
Notably, during his tenure, Dr. Dangut received commendation from the Nigeria Examinations Committee for his transparent and exemplary conduct in overseeing examinations between the years 2000 and 2006.
