Deceitful Accusations Against Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo: The Consequences Of Lies
Deception is a dark cloud that has cast its shadow over humanity for centuries. In the relentless pursuit of their ambitions, certain individuals resort to falsehoods and deceit to achieve their goals. These deceitful acts sow seeds of discord, manipulate relationships, and tarnish reputations. In this article, we delve into the consequences of such deceitful behaviour, drawing wisdom from biblical, Quranic, and philosophical teachings to emphasize the value of truth and integrity.
The Far-Reaching Consequences Of Deceit:
While deceitful people may initially achieve their objectives, their actions ultimately give rise to a web of mistrust and division. False narratives have the power to ruin lives, shatter relationships, and fracture communities, with the impact often persisting for years.
Biblical Wisdom:
The Bible, revered by many, provides invaluable guidance on the importance of truth and integrity. Proverbs 12:22 states, “The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.” This verse underscores divine disapproval of deceitful behaviour and emphasizes the significance of honesty in human interactions. Furthermore, Ephesians 4:25 encourages individuals to “speak the truth in love,” highlighting the need for sincerity and compassion in our words.
Quranic Guidance:
The Quran, a sacred text in Islam, strongly condemns deceitful actions and underscores the value of truthfulness. In Surah Al-Baqarah (2:42), it cautions, “And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].” This verse warns against blending truth with falsehood and underscores the importance of maintaining the integrity of one’s speech and actions.
Philosophical Insight:
Throughout history, philosophers have contemplated the nature of deceit and its profound impact on human existence. Friedrich Nietzsche once eloquently stated, “I’m not upset that you lied to me; I’m upset that from now on, I can’t believe you.” This quote highlights the far-reaching consequences of deceit, as it erodes the foundation of trust upon which relationships are built. It serves as a stark reminder that lying not only harms others but also diminishes one’s credibility.
The Unfounded Accusations:
During the last presidential election, a slew of blatant lies emerged, beginning with allegations of mismanagement of presidential election funds. However, to the relief of many, these falsehoods were subsequently exposed as baseless allegations and swiftly debunked.
The failure of these allegations had a profound impact on those behind them. In response, they resorted to one of the gravest sins in politics: claiming “Anti-party.” They alleged that The Mandate Movement had voted for the Labour party, an assertion that contradicts the Movement’s principles and history of unwavering party loyalty.
Setting The Record Straight:
The Mandate Movement has consistently demonstrated loyalty to its party and has never sponsored candidates outside of its party’s platform. This is a historical fact that can’t be disputed.
During the last election, the Liberation/Veterans faction, under the leadership of Hon Adejoke Orelope, sponsored Hon Akin Basiru under the Accord Party, while another loyalist, Hon Akande Vie, ran under the Labour Party.
Unanswered Questions:
The question that begs to be answered is, why would Enilolobo Abdullahi Ayinde work for the Labour party and risk the safety of his trusted aide, who was attacked and brutally beaten by soldiers invited by the Labour Party at a collation center?
Why would he jeopardize his own life and that of his family when the House of Representatives candidate of the Labour party led a battalion of Army personnel with an armored tank to his residence, resulting in sporadic gunfire?
A Prayer For Justice:
A heartfelt prayer is offered that those responsible for spreading lies face consequences similar to those experienced at the Presidential Election collation centre. By the grace of God, may they find no solutions to their problems.
It is disheartening to think that if lives were lost during the presidential poll, these unfounded allegations would have persisted. As the saying goes, “E o ni, ni isimi” (evil will befall them). It is only a matter of time before justice prevails.
A Call For Unity:
Deceitful individuals may achieve temporary success through lies, but they shall not escape the consequences, whether by the hand of man or by divine intervention.
A heartfelt appeal is made to all members of The Mandate Movement to remain calm. The battle is not lost, and neither is the war. The joy that others find in our perceived downfall is fleeting. With God on our side, we will triumph over all evil plans.
