Sanwo-Olu Swears In Commissioners, Special Advisers (SEE FULL LIST)
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has officially inaugurated 38 commissioners and special advisers, urging them to prioritize the delivery of the THEMES’ developmental agenda, Readership NG reports.
At the swearing-in ceremony, held at Adeyemi Bero, Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, the governor emphasized the importance of excellence in their roles and expressed confidence in the growth of a larger Lagos.
The nominees had previously received confirmation from the state House of Assembly. The ceremony drew a full house, including Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, Chief Judge Kazeem Alogba, Secretary to State Government Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, and other dignitaries, along with family members, friends, traditional leaders, and government officials.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized his administration’s commitment to fulfilling its promises for a better Lagos, urging the new cabinet members to view their appointments as a unique privilege and a call to service.
Sanwo-Olu said, “This event is historic. The members of the state Executive Council have been painstakingly chosen.They are emblem of what Lagos is all about.”
He cmmended the assembly for the support, while seeking more collaboration, saying residents would be the bigger beneficiaries at the end.
“Meeting the targets is not an option. You must reflect excellence in your duty with best interest of the people at heart,” he charged.
