The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has called on Nigerians to remain committed to peace, unity and national development as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.
Odulate, in a statement commemorating the anniversary, said this year’s theme, “From Reforms to Stability: Consolidating Nigeria’s Renewed Hope for Shared Prosperity,” reflects an important stage in the country’s development journey.
He acknowledged that the path to economic stability could come with challenges and sacrifices, but stressed that meaningful reforms must ultimately translate into better opportunities, improved livelihoods and a more prosperous future for Nigerians.
According to him, Nigeria, at 66, remains a nation of great potential, with its resilience, creativity and determination serving as key strengths in the pursuit of national progress.
The chairman urged Nigerians to continue believing in the country and contribute their quota towards building a better society.
“At 66, Nigeria remains a nation of great potential. Our strength lies in the resilience, creativity and determination of our people, and in our collective belief that a better Nigeria is possible,” he said.
Odulate also assured residents that Sagamu Local Government would continue to support initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the people, strengthening communities and contributing to national development.
He called for sustained commitment to peace and unity, urging citizens to play their part in building the Nigeria they desire.
The chairman congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad, particularly residents of Sagamu Local Government, on the 66th Independence Anniversary.
He prayed for continued progress and prosperity for Sagamu Local Government, Ogun State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
