The Ogun State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Secretary, Hon. Dr. Babatunde Adejare, has held a strategic meeting with members of the Likemind Brothers in Remo North as part of efforts to harmonise political interests and strengthen the party’s mobilisation structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, held at Adejare’s residence, brought together APC stakeholders and members of the group drawn from the 10 wards of Remo North Local Government Area.

Adejare said the engagement was aimed at promoting unity, reconciliation and cooperation among party members, stressing the need for various political interests to work together towards the success of the APC at all levels.

Those who joined Adejare at the meeting included a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Solomon Osho; former Remo North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Olatayo Sowole; Education Secretary and former Leader of the House, Hon. Patrick Idowu; Hon. Owolabi Osho; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Niyifola Idowu; and Aremo Akinlolu Agunbiade, Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy President of the Senate.

The Likemind Brothers, which members describe as both a political and non-political association with membership across the 10 wards, was led at the meeting by Comrade Akinyemi Omotola. Other members present included Comrade Kazeem from Ward 3, Mr. Lekan Jolaoso and Mr. Tunde Otun.

Discussions focused on sustained engagement, reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation, with stakeholders examining ways to coordinate party members and strengthen cooperation ahead of the elections.

The stakeholders also discussed mobilisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s senatorial ambition in Ogun East, Hon. Funmi Efuwape’s candidacy for the House of Representatives in the Remo Federal Constituency, and the gubernatorial ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi. They also expressed support for Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye in the Remo North State Constituency.

The meeting emphasised the importance of taking the party’s message to the grassroots and ensuring effective coordination of members across the 10 wards for sustained mobilisation and participation during the election.

The stakeholders agreed that continued consultations and cooperation among APC members would be necessary to strengthen the party’s campaign structure and pursue its objectives across the various elective positions.

The meeting is expected to be followed by further consultations with political groups, community stakeholders and party members in Remo North as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
