Ogbeni Odulate Urges New Elewuga Monarch To Promote Peace, Unity
The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate, has urged the newly installed Elewuga of Ewuga, Oba Sunday Oladimeji Osho, to use his reign to promote peace, unity and meaningful development in the community.
Odulate made the call while speaking at the installation and presentation of the Staff of Office to Oba Osho as the Elewuga of Ewuga.
The Sagamu Local Government chairman congratulated the monarch on his ascension to the throne and emphasised the important role traditional institutions play in maintaining peace, fostering unity and strengthening communities.
He urged Oba Osho to lead with wisdom, fairness and an open heart, while ensuring that his reign remains inclusive and accommodates all members of the community.
Odulate also appealed to the people of Ewuga to embrace one another and place the collective interest of the community above personal differences.
He stressed that when members of a community work together and give everyone an opportunity to contribute, they create a stronger foundation for meaningful development and progress.
The chairman expressed confidence that Ewuga would attain greater heights under the leadership of the new monarch, while wishing Oba Osho a peaceful, successful and impactful reign.
He concluded with a traditional royal prayer, saying: “Káàde pẹ̀ lórí Kabíyèsí, kí bàtà pẹ̀ lẹ́sẹ̀, kí ẹṣin Ọba jẹ́ oko pẹ̀, kánrìn kese.”
