The leadership of Sagamu Local Government extended a warm reception to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, during his visit to Ogun State for the commissioning of the Ogun State Air Cargo Airport and the official launch of the state’s newly acquired aircraft.
The inauguration of the airport and the addition of the state aircraft mark a pivotal step in Ogun State’s vision to strengthen economic growth, enhance regional connectivity, and attract both domestic and foreign investment. The initiative reflects the forward-looking governance of Prince Dapo Abiodun, whose infrastructural and economic programs continue to position the state as a logistics and commercial hub across West Africa.
Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, congratulated the governor on achieving this milestone, noting the enduring benefits of such developments for current and future generations.
“Receiving Mr. President at this historic occasion reaffirms our unwavering commitment to progress, innovation, and the continued prosperity of Ogun State,” Odulate said.
The commissioning ceremony was hailed as a defining moment for the Gateway State, reinforcing its status as a rising economic force and highlighting the state’s strategic role in Nigeria’s broader development agenda.
