Odulate Charges New Sagamu APC Executives On Discipline, Party Consolidation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sagamu Local Government on Tuesday conducted its local government congress, marking what stakeholders described as a significant transition of leadership within the party. The congress, which attracted party leaders and ward representatives across the council area, ushered in a new set of executives to steer the affairs of the party at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, commended the outgoing local government party executives led by Hon. Rafiu Opaleye, as well as executives across the 15 wards, for their stewardship. He acknowledged their role in sustaining the party structure, safeguarding its integrity, and strengthening its grassroots presence during their tenure.

Odulate also congratulated the newly elected local government executives led by Hon. Rotimi Omotayo and the ward executives, noting that their emergence comes with significant responsibility. He stressed that the positions are not ceremonial but demand commitment to unity, internal democracy, and consolidation of the party’s dominance at all levels of governance.

The council chairman urged party members to set aside personal interests in favour of collective progress, emphasizing the need to eliminate factional tendencies and build a disciplined, inclusive, and result-oriented structure. He called for sustained collaboration from the ward level to the federal level to secure greater victories for the party.

Reaffirming the party’s commitment to progress under the Renewed Hope agenda, Odulate expressed optimism that the new executives would deliver tangible achievements and strengthen the APC’s foothold in Sagamu Local Government and beyond.
