Kunle Adisa Seeks Spiritual Rebirth, Unity As Ramadan And Lent Begin
A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Kunle Adisa, fondly called KA, has extended warm greetings to his constituents in Imeko-Afon, Ogun West Senatorial District, and Nigerians at large as Muslims commence the holy month of Ramadan and Christians across the world begin the Lenten season.
In a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, KA described the concurrent observance of Ramadan and Lent as “a profound spiritual moment that calls for deep reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to the service of humanity.” He noted that both sacred periods emphasize self-discipline, compassion for the less privileged, and devotion to God.
“As Muslims begin Ramadan and our Christian brothers and sisters enter the solemn season of Lent, we are reminded that faith teaches us sacrifice, tolerance, and love for one another,” Adisa said.“This is a time to pray for our families, our communities, and the progress of our dear nation.”
The APC chieftain urged residents of Imeko-Afon and Nigerians to use the period to promote unity across religious and ethnic lines, stressing that national development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and mutual respect. “Let us extend hands of kindness to the needy, forgive one another, and recommit ourselves to building a society anchored on justice and fairness,” he added.
Adisa further prayed for divine guidance for leaders at all levels and expressed hope that the spiritual exercises of Ramadan and Lent would usher in greater harmony, economic stability, and sustained growth for Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.
