Matawalle’s Nine Children To Wed Same Day In Abuja

Preparations are underway for the wedding ceremony of nine children of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, scheduled to take place in Abuja next month.
An invitation card for the event, which has circulated widely on social media, was sighted on Saturday. According to the invitation, the weddings will be held at the Abuja Central Mosque by 1:30 pm on February 6.
The invitation, which bears the minister’s photograph, listed the names of the children as Ibrahim, Suraj, Safiya, Maryam, Aisha, Fahad, Muh’d, Nana Firdausi and Farida.
Confirming the development, the spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara State, Yusuf Idris, told Sunday PUNCH that the nine children comprise five sons and four daughters.
“By the grace of God, the ceremony will take place at the Abuja Central Mosque on February 6. The minister’s children getting married are five sons and four daughters,” Idris said.
He added that arrangements for the multiple wedding ceremony had reached an advanced stage, assuring that all necessary plans were being put in place to ensure a smooth and successful event.
“I am a member of the committee handling the occasion, and preparations are progressing well ahead of the ceremony in Abuja next month,” he stated.
