Ondo Police Foil Cult Initiation, Arrest 25 Suspected Cultists

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested no fewer than 25 suspected cultists following the disruption of an alleged cult initiation ceremony in Uso, Ondo State.

The arrests were made on Thursday, January 8, 2026, after the Command received credible intelligence from a concerned citizen indicating that members of the Neo Black Movement (NBM) were planning to initiate new members in the area.

Acting on the intelligence, operatives of the Command were immediately mobilised and deployed using intelligence-led tactics to the location. The swift operation successfully foiled the planned initiation and led to the arrest of 25 suspects at the scene.
