Sagamu LG Cabinet Felicitates Akarigbo, Remo People On 2nd Remo Day
The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, on behalf of the entire cabinet, has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, the Torungbuwa II, and other revered traditional rulers in Remo Land, as well as sons and daughters of Remo, on the occasion of the 2nd edition of Remo Day.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, the Sagamu LG leadership described the celebration as a proud reminder of the rich cultural heritage, unity, and shared values that bind the people of Remo together.
According to the statement, Remo Day provides an opportunity to honour longstanding traditions, appreciate the wisdom and guidance of traditional institutions, and reaffirm a collective commitment to peace, progress, and sustainable development across Remo Land.
“The celebration is a moment for reflection on our identity as a people and a renewed call to work together for the continued growth and harmony of our land,” the statement noted.
The council leadership also offered prayers for continued divine strength for the royal institutions, peace and prosperity for Remo Land, and upliftment for all indigenes, both at home and in the diaspora.
The message concluded with traditional prayers and goodwill wishes for enduring progress and unity among the Remo people.
