Peace Returns To Ogijo Market As Sagamu Chairman Restores Suspended Exco

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has reinstated the suspended executives of the Itesiwaju International Market, Ogijo, following days of extensive deliberation and engagement with all stakeholders.

The reinstated team, led by Chairman Alhaji Usman AbdulRahman, paid a courtesy visit to Odulate’s office earlier today to formalise their return and express their gratitude to the local government for resolving the issues that led to their suspension.

Alhaji AbdulRahman, speaking on behalf of the delegation, appreciated the government for giving them another opportunity to serve. He acknowledged the issues that triggered their suspension and pledged the executives’ readiness to adhere strictly to all market policies, guidelines, and administrative regulations henceforth.

In his remarks, Chairman Odulate emphasised the need for mutual respect, orderliness, and accountability in market administration. He described the progress of the Itesiwaju International Market as a shared responsibility and urged the leadership to demonstrate renewed commitment to ensuring smooth operations for the benefit of traders and residents.

He expressed confidence that the renewed partnership would foster improved cooperation as his administration continues to prioritise the welfare of Ogijo and the entire Sagamu Local Government Area.

The meeting marked a significant step toward restoring harmony and strengthening governance within one of Ogijo’s key commercial hubs.
