Atiku’s Spokesperson Claims Wike Could Be Removed If Atiku Calls Tinubu

Daniel Bwala, the spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential election, asserted that Nyesom Wike could face removal if Atiku were to request Tinubu to take such action.
This statement was made during Bwala’s recent appearance on Arise TV on Tuesday evening, as reported by Readership NG NG.
“If Atiku Abubakar calls President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sack Nyesom Wike as the FCT minister, before they will finish the call, Wike will be sacked,” Bwala said.
In response to a question concerning the PDP’s stance on Governor Wike’s public support for the APC and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the recent setback at the presidential election tribunal, Daniel Bwala, spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, acknowledged that the tribunal’s judgment had raised several unresolved issues.
He highlighted that following the tribunal’s recognition of the FCT as a distinct entity, residents had demanded separate governance and representation. In response, they sought a court order to prevent the FCT minister from continuing to represent himself in this capacity.
Bwala emphasized the PDP’s resilience in the face of past challenges and expressed confidence in its ability to overcome the current situation. He also indicated that Governor Wike’s actions were in violation of the party’s rules and suggested that Wike could face removal at the appropriate time.
It’s worth noting that Governor Wike, who was the runner-up in the PDP presidential primary, has been critical of Atiku since then.
