Stop Feeding Ogun With Lies And Take Responsibility For Your Failures, PDP Tells Dapo Abiodun

Following the happenings in the conduct of the business of government in Ogun state, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State said it is crystal clear that the illegitimate administration of Mr Dapo Abiodun has made up its mind to make deliberate falsehood a Fundamental Principle of State policy.

In a statement on Saturday in Abeokuta and made available to READERSHIP NG, the party said “another failure of Abiodun led administration was brazenly displayed a few days ago when the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, who represented his boss, Mr. Abiodun at the just concluded Nigerian Secondary School Flag Football Season 2 tagged ‘AKETI’ 2023 where a female students’ football team of the African Church Grammar School, Ita Eko, Abeokuta won with a scholarship worth 100 million naira.”

The statement signed by Asiwaju Akinloye Bankole, Ogun Publicity Secretary of the PDP, stated that “the colourful ceremony was visibly diminished when Prof. Arigbabu remarked on behalf of the governor and Ogun State government that the place holding All Progressives Congress, APC government has sponsored not less than 200 students to participate in different competitions since the controversial inception on the administration in 2019.

“For the PDP and of course, every discerning mind who have followed the trajectory of the Abiodun-led administration, it is an irreducible fact that Prof. Arigbabus’s declaration at the event was another lie from the deepest pit of hell. It can only come from an infantile imagination that only exists in the minds of a lazy and reckless government. It is also an unpardonable disservice to the female football team that won the AKETI 2023 competition.

“It is on record that the current administration, since the creation of ogun state carries the badge of being the poorest in terms of government’s investment in the sports sector in the history of the state.”

Akinloye said the Team Ogun under the watch of Abiodun was poorly and shabbily treated at the last National Sports Festival in Edo state.

“To further expose Prof. Arigbabu and the lying government he represents, the PDP makes bold, on behalf of the innocent members of the public who have always endured the lying spree of the APC government, to challenge this tool of deceit called the government to make public the list, in details, of the 200 beneficiaries it has sponsored since its inception as claimed by the Prof.

“It is also important to use this opportunity to remind members of the public that the secrecy with which the Kobape Housing Estate, which was commissioned some 20 months ago by General Muhamadu Buhari has not been forgotten. This is another case of how the current government thrives only on falsehood.

The PDP has it on good authority that the entire buildings, although not yet occupied, despite the government promise of a transparent process of allocation, have been secretly allocated by the government to the governor, his close aides and cronies; even outside Ogun State.

In clear terms, the highly revered royal father condemned the deplorable state of roads and total collapse of public amenities in the state and instead of taking responsibility for its woeful failures in public service, the government, in its lack of wisdom, was quick to make a lame excuse and pass the bulk, as always. What an irresponsibility!
